Social Events
The MCR runs a wide range of social events throughout the year, from relaxed welfare brunches and pub trips to formal exchanges, parties, and flagship annual celebrations. These events are a great way to meet fellow graduates, make friends across disciplines, and become part of the LMH community.
BOPs
BOPs (Big Organised Parties) are the MCR’s main parties of the term. They usually take place in the MCR or college grounds, bringing together students from across the college. Expect music, drinks, and a lively atmosphere.
Formal Exchanges
Formal Exchanges are structured dinners with other colleges. Attendees dress smartly and enjoy a three-course, waiter-served meal with drinks.
Wine & Cheese
Wine & Cheese evenings are semi-formal gatherings designed for conversation and socialising.
Pub Crawls
Pub Crawls are organised trips to local pubs with other students. They are casual events, perfect for exploring Oxford’s nightlife in a safe, group setting. They offer a fun way to socialise outside college, while discovering some of the city’s favourite pubs.
Welfare Brunches and Tea & Desserts
Welfare Brunches and Tea & Desserts events take place on weekends, offering food and refreshments in a calm environment. They are focused on wellbeing, providing an opportunity to rest and socialise at a slower pace.
End of Year LMH Garden Party 2026
The LMH Garden Party is one of the highlights of the college calendar. Held in the beautiful LMH gardens, it brings together students, fellows, alumni, and guests for food, drinks, entertainment, and live music. It is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the end of the academic year and enjoy the college grounds at their best.
